Best APOC-338 Loadout in Modern Warfare 4

The APOC-338 is the heavy LMG in Modern Warfare 4: it hits very hard at any distance, fires only 554 rounds per minute and, in Dexerto's words, has punishing recoil. Dexerto rates it B-Tier and warzoneloadout.games has it at Viable, 66th for versatile multiplayer. Choose it for holding long sightlines, not for general play. This applies to multiplayer after the 28 October pre-Season 1 nerf.
Best APOC-338 loadout
CODMunity and warzoneloadout.games publish this same five-piece build. CODMunity's code is L02-B176U-BUV71-1.

| Laser | SA Laz-500 | Cuts ADS time 4% |
| Optic | ZLR Type C | Optic; effect not listed |
| Stock | EXP Arc-7 Stock | Cuts ADS time 8%, adds 5% recoil |
| Rear Grip | FSS TCB-1 Grip | Cuts recoil 6%; adds 4% to ADS time |
| Perks | Ninja, Quick Fix, Scavenger | wzstats' set: quieter movement, health regen on kills, ammo from kills |

Why this build works
CODMunity's time-to-kill curve is close to flat: 291ms inside 10m, 292ms from 10-40m, 323ms from 40-80m and 378ms from 80-120m. It is the flattest LMG curve listed, and that long-range hold is the whole reason to pick it.
The build spends its slots on handling, with the laser and stock shortening ADS while the grip takes a little off the recoil. Base EaseScore is 5.9 and this build is 6.0, so do not expect the recoil to disappear.
The 28 October update trimmed it: mid damage fell from 38 to 37, long damage from 35 to 33, and the mid-range distance from 1980 to 1900. CODMunity's figures above were last updated on 27 October, the day before that change, so the real numbers may now be slightly worse.
How to play it
Set up on long lanes and objective lines where you get first shot, and let the flat damage do the work. Do not walk into rooms with it: the 50-round magazine and slower rate make close fights risky against the 252ms VEL 46. Pair it with a fast secondary, since it needs the time on target that it rarely gets when rushed.
Alternative setups
wzstats Versatile: SZ Micro D-3, EXP 450 RTL, Bruen Renegade Grip, Demo Bar-7 Stock, SZ Gen.6 PEQ. wzstats ranks the gun 10th for long range at B-Tier.
